ABOUT THOMAS

Thomas Best-Shaw was brought up in Kent, in an artistic family. Although he has been painting all his life it was not until quite recently that he has been able to devote more time to his passion and further develop his techniques.

He works in both oils and acrylics with a particular love of North Cornwall where he draws much inspiration from its rugged coastline and moody skies.

​

He also loves the more local Kentish landscape with its distinctive ‘Oast roundels’ and increasing number of vineyards, especially on the North Downs.

​
